In the next 3 years, 80% of the world's broadband subscribers will be in Asia. City Telecom from Hong Kong already offers up to 1Gbps; following the August launch of iPSTAR the world's largest commercial satellite, Shin Satellite from Thailand will roll out satellite broadband right across Asia Pacific; China Telecom is a key player in the world's biggest broadband market. Representatives from all three telcos will be speaking at Carriers World.

Telcos face revenue leakage at an unprecedented scale if they can't react to the threat to voice services from VoIP. Two of the biggest Internet brands Yahoo and AOL are preparing voice strategies and both will be speaking at Carriers World.
